About Us.
Derrick is 30 years old. A graduate of CCBC Dundalk with a degree in legal studies. Currently works for DPI Mid-Atlantic as a sales representative.
Christina is 26 years old. A graduate of CCBC Essex with a degree in Nursing. Currently works for Good Samaritan Hospital as a registered Nurse.
Together, we met through a mutual friend (Matt Baier) at the poncabird pub. We really didn't speak much at the original meeting. However, within a few months of hanging out, we became closer and began meeting up just together and without the friend group. We grew very close and each were introduced to the families of the other. A year or so later, we welcomed our son, Connor, to the world. Our relationship definatley changed but not for bad. We have watched each other grow into mature adults and wonderful parents. We have clicked very well in the parenting aspect.
On the day of our engagement, we were about to take a family trip to the Washington D.C. zoo. As we were about to leave, Connor brought a ring box out and asked me to open it. (I just figured it was one of the empty ones that he took out of my jewelry box...becuase he started going in there frequently) I took the box from him and opened it (for him). Derrick dropped down to one knee, and when i looked down, the engagement ring was in the ring box. He asked...and of course, I said, "yes!" Thats our story!
